Hi Friends,
I had the privelege of attending the XVth International Seminar on Total Loss Prevention Programme conducted by the International Institute of Security and Safety Management at Hotel Le Meridien from 6th to 9th December 2005. Sadly the RBI representation was miniscule as compared to other organisations. Only three other officers besides me attended the programme. This seminar was atended by 91 participants besides faculty and other officials. This was an excellent opportunity to interact with security service providers, equipment manufacturers and security practitioners from various organisations as also to learn something new about Security Management. The programme was conducted professionally and was well taken by all the participants.

There is no centralised, concerted effort made by any one to collect and diseminate the information about training courses/ seminars etc being conducted by various organisations other than the Bank's training institutions. The efforts are made by individual officers themselves. Some of them emerge successful in convincing their respective offices and are deputed for such training course/seminars others are not, and, many don't even come to know of these. We can suggest in the forthcoming Security Managers' Conference that there should be an HR desk in the CSC which should do all the spadework of collecting such information and intimating to all the offices of the Bank with thier recomendation to depute Security Managers for such training.
I agree with Balli's suggestion and we should bring this matter up during the forthcoming Security Managers'Conference at Mumbai. It will be great if the Bank agrees to this idea. Till then " internet to hai na ??" So, happy browsing.
